Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:

I'm Florian (19) from Switzerland

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)

I work in Logistics from 7am to 5pm so I'm usually on during the evening. Outside of gaming and working I love to play football (soccer) and do sport in general. I used to be in a football club for 7years but then stopped due to an issue in my legs caused by my rapid growth during younger years. I also love hanging out with my friends and family. Recently I discovered my passion for watches - not just buying and wearing them but also the whole mechanical stuff behind them.

Character Information:

387 equiped iLvl, 38.5 Neck, Havoc DH

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:

Most Havoc DH talents are set. The only thing I switch up on certain fights are Trails of Ruin/Fel Barage and Fel Eruption (Mainly for m+) to Unleashed Power or Master of the glaive. Not that much to explain as there is not alot of variation amongst pretty much any DH in the world as the chosen talents are simply better than the others.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?

Vers is the most beneficial stat as it gives you straight up more damage on any damaging spell and there is pretty much no limit as to how much is 'too much'. I try to keep my haste around 15% as It's a sweet middle ground and helps with autoattacks. Crit is always good to have and once again doesn't really have a limit as where it gets too much. My current crit is currently a bit lower than I would like (23%) since I have quite alot of haste stats on my gear which I'm trying to even out among the other stats.

Raiding History:

As I just started playing WoW in BfA (about 4 months ago) I have only raided Uldir so far and gotten to 7/8 on Mythic. As we got to G'Huun we got less and less people showing up for raids as they didnt want to progress and spend time learning the fight which is also the reason I'm looking for a new guild.

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:

Like I already said our Guild lacked motivatied raiders and raiders in general. We had to cancel multiple raids due to not enough people showing up. During raiding we were able to progress but not at the pace or with the effort I hoped us to do. I'm a very motivated player and take any game I play quite serious trying to improve constantly. That mindset wasn't shared with most people in our Guild as the majority of them are rather casual and just log on during raids trying to get easy kills/gear and have some fun.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:

Hypoxic - Ahn'Qiraj is the only Guild I've been in so far and since I've gotten a lot better at the game over the past few months I realized that it is no longer suited for me and am now looking for a guild with people in the same mindset and skilllevel.

More Information:

As I'm currently on a different Server I'm obviously willing to tranfer should you give me the chance to prove myself.

I also want to add that despite the lack of experience and rather low playtime I'm a very skilled player and very motivated to improve further as an Individual but also as a valuable asset to the raid. I always try to analyze my mistakes and understand what I can do better in order to improve and avoid the same mistake twice. I don't mind people pointing out any of my mistakes or things I could try different.

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?

I should be able to attend 100% of the raids unless something major comes up in which case I would let you guys know so you can make the neccessary arrangements.

We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?

Yes. This is also a good sign for me showing how dedicated you guys are.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?

Yes, I have a good headset and am not scared to speak up or anything like that. I'm also a very calm and reasonable person to talk to.

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?

I know the ins and outs of my class and can play it at a very high level bringing you guys not only alot of DPS but also utility and am always up for 'extra tasks' during boss fights if needed. Like I already said I'm very motivated and always trying to improve which also means I gather information to boss fights before we approach them so I can prepare for them and know what to do. I play my role well and rarly do the same mistake twice.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?

As of now I haven't really looked into Vengance DH but if needed I can learn it.

How do you feel about progression raiding?

I love it. There is nothing better than killing a boss after dozens if not hundreds of wipes.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?

I came across you guys on wowprogress and decided to apply. I currently do not know anyone inside the guild but am looking forward to meeting everyone.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?

I'm looking for a strong, progression orientated and active guild which from the looks of it describes you very well. Also the nicely designed webiste made the guild even more appealing!

Do you play outside of raid?

Yes, I'm online every day for a couple of hours doing my daily WQ's and some islands. I also love doing M+ and am currently at a 1963 rating.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
