Curse of Years Application form.
Remember your application is the first impression we have on you, be as in depth as possible on all areas of the application.

First of all, hello ;)

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:

Arnault, 24 years old male living in France

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc) :

In real life, I’m currently project manager at Education Ministry and making pedagogic projects for 11-14 years old students. Aside of it, I’m giving lessons to some in difficulties.
Outside of work, I’m a sportive person, practiced lot of variety of sports (mainly Volley-Ball during 6 years) through years, but now I can’t due to lockdown 
In terms of video games, aside of wow, my favorite saga is Hitman (the bald killer with barcode behind his head), but I’m mainly stuck on wow at the hand even if I play some different games sometimes like Shadow of Mordor / War or some kinds of rpg based on medieval fantasy.
In terms of music, I’m a metalhead, my favorite band is Exodus.

Character Information:

Armory Link: ... F%C3%A4ell

Battletag: Fael#2944

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:

Won’t lie, I’m basically choosing my talents by watching logs / simming / watching what is said on classes discord, but still can explain why this instead of this.

L15 : Master Marksman is the best in all situations and making target bleed for good amount of damages, murder of crow is really bad, serpent sting too. Inmore we get Serpent sting from legendary
L25 : Careful Aim provides an early execute above 70% health, making it relevant for ST fights. In AOE situation / M+, explosive shot is the go to, providing good aoe on every pack with short cd (30sec)
L30 : Natural mending in raid because more healing provided. Trailblazer offers nothing in raid, nether camouflage, but they can be useful for outdoor content atleast (Trailblazer for leveling is awesome)
L35 : Steady in ST, 7% permanent haste buff is giga awesome. Streamline for aoe, more damages on Rapid FIre + reduced cast time on Aimed Shot and is really comfortable in aoe situation where you would struggle to maintain Steady Shot buff up. Chimaera shot has been nerfed to the ground but can be used on cleave bosses like Huntsman, General before it’s the only sources of 2targets damages for hunter (Cleave for Multi-shot triggers from 3 targets hits)
L40 : Posthaste for most fights. Born to be wild can be useful in some situations (Huntsman soak for exemple)
L45 : Double Tap, the 2 others aren’t enough competitive in all situations, nothing else to say.
Eventually on a certain situation like a boss having only 20% life for almost all fights (Taloc like with less life so), Dead eye could be useful due to 2 charges on Kill shot.
L50 : Lock and Load for ST / Volley for AOE or if a boss like Inerva has several aoe situation with still lot of Single Target

How do you prioritize your stats and why?

Raidbots and Sim. Best accurate way to know what to prioritze

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?

Discord class, logs, friends from big guild (Pieces and Aversion mainly in my case).

Paste a your UI via Image IN COMBAT
(Ensure that all Key Bindings are visible)

Previous is back from BFA, so it's raid but as BM, for new keybinds and inmore as marksman (as they changed a bit), you can see this one : ... 154738.jpg

So basically, my ui in raid is like in the first screenshot, and for keybind you can refer to second one. And yes my damage metter is big, even if I tend to reduce it over time, because it doesn't anything where it is and I tend to reduce it over time anyway, it just makes me able to keep motivated to pump because I always go to the maximum of my character.

Link to your raid logs using using :

2 Mythic boss downs are sadly private. You can also see all logs from Nyalotha and Eternal Palace (I started to main this character at very end of BoD).
My Sludgefist dies are due to breaking chains, people not moving back with group after the grab.

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:

All Cutting Edge obtained since HFC (t18) except Uu’nat, with World Ranks between 450 for first ones, to 140th (best at Eternal Palace).
Current : 10/10 heroic + 2/10 Mythic

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:

The Howl : From HFC to Tomb of Sargeras : Firsts Cutting Edge, disband before Kil’Jaeden Kill
One Last Attempt : Tomb and Antorus : Left because atmosphere wasn’t fitting me
Restricted : Guild with friends we created before BFA, disbanded fastly due to players lacking motivations.
Sense : Joined at the end of BoD, switched to hunter and managed to kill Azshara as W140th, we disbanded because lot of players stopped the game / officers not motivated anymore
Echoes : Guild I joined after Sense’s disband, killed N’zoth W190. Left recently because atmosphere became really toxic and I didn’t wanted to deal with it. I prefer being in a slower guild, but with good atmosphere is what I want the most.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?

We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?

Motivated, Mechanically player (this is basically the reason I became hunter, when I joined Sense, I had the choice to play between Mage and Hunter, but to me, hunter is the go-to to deal with mechanics, and it’s something I like). Suggesting ideas if there’s relevant thing to tell. And obviously teamplayers, but I think it’s explicit when I say why I became Hunter (before this, I was Mage during all HFC and Legion, and Demon Hunter from Tomb of Sargeras to BoD included (which means from Tomb of Sargeras, I was maintaining both DH and Mage).
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I am very comfortable, but if I can avoid to play survival, I prefer.

How do you feel about progression raiding?

I’ve been used to it through years so I’m comfortable to it.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?

Nalgust is someone I know for a while as I’ve been Oblivion Group Leader for 1+ year (recently decided to step down from it). Also knowing Irelia, and Katalia from this experience.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?

3 days raiding, I already know a bit some people, which is better for integration and guild performing and improving through years at a decent rank. Inmore both Nalgust and Irelia told me atmosphere is good.

Do you play outside of raid?

I do, if there’s a group to do some M+, I can be interrested in also. I also sometimes just practice on dummy for cerebral memory when I have nothing else to do. Or just playing alts (mainly my monk tank, but also planning to gear further in expansion my mage and eventually my warlock as I always been curious about it).

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?

I’m a player who is looking for a new home, aiming to cutting Edge, with people who know what they are doing, willing to always improve and become better, but my main concern nowadays is about going through a good atmosphere were people are not throwing rude words at each others because they are like that, there's a point where it's not even about joking.

Tell us a joke:

Why does the little girl falls of the swing ? Because she has no arm.
Yes, I like dark humor
