Curse of Years Application form.
Remember your application is the first impression we have on you, be as in depth as possible on all areas of the application.

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location: Alex, Male, UK

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies, etc): Have been an avid gamer since I was introduced to the first Xbox by my Dad, and ever since I have been hooked. I play all sorts of games outside of wow from shooters (EFT, Arma, COD) to league of legends, Singleplayer games, etc. The only games I don't tend to play are usually Nintendo games to be broad. I have been a Rugby player ever since I was 4 and have loved it ever since, I've noticed through the years how much it helped me become a huge team player and made me think of others before myself, I always do what's best for the team and not myself these days. I am currently at the University of Reading studying for a Masters's Degree in Commercial law with information technology and e-commerce.

Character Information:

Armory Link: (Faction changed as the alliance guild I was apart of couldn't commit enough time to progression and I researched the best guilds on my server and found they were horde)

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
Unleash life as I feel that torrents passive effect is not as impactful as the direct flash heal form of unleash life and undulation provides a guaranteed 3rd heal effectiveness but unleash life just trumps it.

Echo of the elements as the other two talents seem to have no meaningful effect but deluge is the best of the worst two with the 20% increased effectiveness

Earthgrab as its essential for pvp but for pve i take static charge for dungeons and raids to provide consistent cc, I.E on the council of blood.

Earthen wall to help prevent crucial damage but ancestral protection is definitely viable providing utility and I have used it on a number of occasions

Natures Guardian as its a safe utility to provide a defensive from resulting burst but wind rush I also find effective for dungeons and raid to provide much-needed movespeed such as with sludgefist and hungering destroyer

Flashflood as downpour and cloudburst just don't provide enough effective healing

ascendance as the huge initial burst of heals has been super effective in this tier

How do you prioritize your stats and why? I take into account what the pro players use, along with what my guild recommends and prioritize around that, I know I am an average player and so taking advice from those that know better seems like a perfect opportunity

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class? CDEW primarily but other than that I use reddit, forums and CDEW and shaman discords to make sure I am effective at my class

Paste a your UI via IN COMBAT
(Ensure that all Key Bindings are visible) -

Link to your raid logs using using LINK.: (This character has only recently been geared as I was progressing my main but decided to commit to this character, the logs provided were when I was at 165ilvl so the HPS is very low)

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience: raided from the beginning of legion, have progressed mythic in BFA on a different character but this expansion I have not had a consistent progressive guild

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them: Immortals - they are a lovely group of people, really friendly and do their best but consistently give up with progression and until last week they didn't have a consistent raid team. I think they are a lovely bunch of people who's company I really enjoyed and I have absolutely nothing against them, but I really want to progress this expansion and push, I have the time, dedication and commitment that I didn't feel Imoortals could reciprocate.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance? Yes absolutely

We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this? Yes

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?Absolutely

What qualities do you bring to a Raid? Dedication, commitment, teamwork. I pride myself on adhering to these 3 principles, I never give up and I am always doing my absolute best, never any less. I love being part of a team and progressing with that team as I mentioned above with Rugby. I firmly believe that any one person is only as good as the people he surrounds himself with, and by helping the team progress, providing a competitive but comfortable atmosphere, I can grow and push with the team.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs? perfectly comfortable on elemental but enhance has not been very good up until Sl so haven't played it all too much.

How do you feel about progression raiding? Nothing excites me mory when thinking of WOW, progrression raiding is the core this game is built around and I am passionate about doing my absolute best and pushing to achieve bigger and better goals

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild? I was researching the best guilds on my server, and Curse of Years was the top listing.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years? I looked at alot of guilds to decide which to apply for, I didn't want to just mindlessly apply and send my application to everyone. I wanted to find a guild I could commit to and represent, Curse of Years really caught my eye, with the bio provided and the incredible amount of skilled players in the guild. I want nothing more than to join the guild, I have not made any applications elsewhere as I now know that Curse of YEars is absolutely the guild I want to progress/ be part of.

Do you play outside of raid? Yes ALOT

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?

Tell us a joke: I searched a list of ten puns to find one that made me laugh.... No pun in ten did
