What strengths do you feel your class currently brings to the raid?

Resto Shaman has been very similar for a long time. They usually fill an all-rounder sort of class who excels in clumped-up healing, I feel like this expansion they've shored up one of their greatest weaknesses which is spread out multi-target healing, with the addition of the Necro ability Pwave. They are all around a strong healer with unique and desired utility. I think even with lower end healing output, they will always have a place in a raid. Thankfully this expansion they have been strong. They are definitely a progress spec since their mastery is almost useless on farm since the raid doesn't drop health as much.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?

I generally play a lot of alts. During BFA for example I played 2-3 healers every tier and maintained them as well as played them on farm sometimes. I also DPS a lot in keys, mostly as ele/shadow/enhance this tier. During this tier I progressed as Rsham/Shadow/Holy since one of our healer's left just before progress started. I would say I'm pretty flexible and I will maintain a few characters each tier just because I like playing them and gearing them.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experiences / guilds. including reasons for leaving them:

Started raiding seriously around TOS/Antorus time in a guild called Winter's Heart on Silvermoon. I played rsham and then mistweaver as well in Antorus. After which I decided I wanted a change of pace, I felt like there were a lot of people who weren't pulling their weight and I lost some motivation. I also wanted something more, to progress faster and push myself, so to speak.

That's when I joined Aluren which I really loved raiding in. The atmosphere and the people were great. I played from Uldir - Nathria in Aluren. During Nathria I had real life commitments that stopped me from being able to raid one of the days. So I joined a newly formed 2 day guild with some old friends, became healing officer shortly afterwards and then stayed there until we killed Sire before moving back to Aluren as Shadow Priest. After Sylvanas, a lot of the players were fed up with the constant list of chores that you have outside the raid. Korthia, maw, choreghast etc. Which led to the GM/Officers wanting a break as well as basically all of the core members.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?

Yes it's not a problem.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?

I liked that you're a long established guild, especially after joining a freshly created guild in Nathria, I really appreciate being somewhere that won't struggle to fill raids and will stick together. Also it's one of the few guilds that suited my friend Delek's schedule and were open to talking to the 3 of us.

Do you play much outside of raiding?

During the patch I will play a lot, I like getting my 10 keys done and whatever else is required, maybe doing extra keys as well and then a few on an alt. I will do 10 keys for the first 2 months at least then maybe down to 4 or 1 as my gear fills out and progress is nearly over or over already.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?

That about covers it for me, hope to chat to you soon.

Application accepted.
As discussed this was more or less a formality and to let members have an idea or who you guys are and provide any input.
I will be in touch when I get home to finalize when you guys server transfer and when you’re available to raid (earliest next Wednesday).
