Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:

Hey! My name is Trond. I'm 34 years old and live in Oslo, Norway

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)

I work part time (I decided to work less than 100%) as a consultant in hydropower engineering. Appart from playing Wow I dabble in strategy games like AoE2, and the odd arpg game like d3 or poe seasons if I think they look interesting.

Other than playing games I used to climb a lot, but over the years I'm doing less and less of that, and now its more just the "casual" working out a few times a week - mostly running.

What strengths do you feel your class currently brings to the raid?

Last tiers boomkins have been FotM as NF during CN and venthyr during SoD - so dps-wise they've been very viable.
Appart from that very tanky with barkskin and bearform and mobile with tigerdash/dash/wildcharge. Its almost unfair towards other classes how tanky a boomkin can be with all things considered.

And also... Innervate

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?

It depends. I do enjoy my boomkin a lot and feel I perform by far better on that than any other of my alts, or speccs.
With that being said, I have "filled" on various roles over the years:
ToS: 3rd tank and raid leader on KJ (made sense to just have me raid lead it since it was quite the snooze fest to be 3rd tank)
Uldir: rogue on zul, warlock on ghuun
EP: resto druid on orgonzoa and resto druid on Azshara

(Ensure that all Key Bindings are visible)

Link to your raid logs using using LINK.:

Last tiers we havent really done any "farm" - so this is only progresslogs.
The previous tiers are privatelogged - but if anyone is interested Id happily give you access to those.

Nathria and Nyalotha:

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experiences / guilds. including reasons for leaving them:

For the last 6 years (we formed in Nighthold) Ive been an officer and raider in the guild Aluren on Tarren Mill

We decided after Sylvanas was dead that we would call it quits as a raid team, since the interest for keeping it going as a group was very low. I did enjoy my time there a lot, even though it at times felt like a second job to be officer with raid-prepp, recruitment and other issues to handle (but then again, someone had to do it).

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?

I will be going on 5 days of vacation in May though - but that is a rare occurance. Over the last 6 years in aluren i was away 1 week during BoD and 1 day in SoD.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?

Mostly the raiding times, since its not many guilds raiding as late. Appart from that I wanted to apply to a guild that had played for a decently long time together. I am not used to changing guilds a lot, having been in 3 total guilds since I started playing in wotlk - so it was important that the guild seemed endurable and not something that would disband at the first hurdle.

Do you play much outside of raiding?

Depends, I play a lot during the launch of new tiers to farm out M+ or pvp for gear - and then it gradually becomes less and less. I do like to have alts, and have all classes at max level, some played more than others.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?

I do some PVP and if I see the benefit of it gearwise I usually do rbgs for high rating, was at 2450 during Castle Nathria since it gave access to "better than raid" gear.

I also think its rather fun (convoke the flag carry?) Probably one of the funniest moments of my rbg "career":

Application accepted.
As discussed this was more or less a formality and to let members have an idea or who you guys are and provide any input.
I will be in touch when I get home to finalize when you guys server transfer and when you’re available to raid (earliest next Wednesday).
