General:
Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:
My Name is James , gender is Male , age is 29 ( soon to be 30 , unfortunately ). Living in the Uk.
Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
Outside of my gaming life which has for the most part only truly ever been World of Warcraft, i of course i have dabbled in other games over the years like Dark Souls and other From Soft games and the occasional console release , but nothing has ever captured my imagination or been such an integral part of my life for the better part of 17 years or so as World of Warcraft has. As for my working life i am currently working at a warehouse and have been working there for the past year , it is serving me quite well so far , and has been much better for me than me previous job.
As far as hobbies go , i am avid music listener and collector , as well as playing the guitar on occasion ( although badly ). I have a pretty extensive vinyl collection which has proved to be a detriment to by bank balance over the years, i predominantly listen to metal of all genres , from black to traditional heavy metal. But i also venture into EDM and other genres on occasion.
P.S , if you want some music recs , hit me up :) .
Character Information:
Character name: Témpter
This character has been my main since the end of classic , i have been him since then with a few break inbetween. The expansions i was most active in were Burning Crusade , Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria , and Legion , i tend to be a very all of nothing kind of player , if i commit i commit hard and you will get the very very best of me and i am have been a benefit to every raid team i have ever been apart of.

Battletag: Témpter#2284
What strengths do you feel your class currently brings to the raid?
As i didn't play to much this expansion i will not speak to extensively on current strengths and weaknesses , i will say just rough things , i will however speak on things i expect from the class in Dragonflight , as i feel this is more useful information for you and for me.
Demonology's current strengths i believe are a extremely strong roughly 1 minute cd which is often paired with other very strong external cooldowns. Demo also has natural cleave with Dreadstalkers combined with Hand of Guldan , and implosion.
As far as Dragonflight goes I feel Demonology will definitely lack the strong 1 minute CD as we are losing the ability to have both Wilfreds and Demonic consumption at the same time ( consumption is leaving the game ). In its place however i believe we are going to gain a much more stable and consistent damage profile which is far less reliant on cooldowns, ( other classes rejoice , u may receive power infusion on occasion). Along with this we maintain and even gain on the front of our strong natural cleave and AOE.
We also have other options such as Nether portal, which has finally become a decent option ( depending on tuning ) but as it looks right now , its looking like a very strong 3 minute cooldown , which for certain fights which may require big damage burns or something of that nature can be indispensable.
Afflictions current strengths i feel are pretty few are far between unfortunately , you can say that they can be strong in spread cleave fights , which is certainly the case , but even on that front they are a shade of them former themselves from previous expansions. When it comes to Aoe and ST both affliction is overshadowed by both other warlock specs.
I am however happy to report that things may be looking up for Affliction in Dragonflight as Dots seem to making a come back as a larger percentage share of our overall damage , which is once again going to make Affliction the #1 spread cleave spec thanks to talents like Creeping Death, Haunted Soul , And Grim Reach. Afflictions single target is also looking to be quite competitive whilst also maintaining a good level of flexibility in its kit. As for AOE i would say its looking to be similar to Legions level with the return of Soul Flame and other extremely useful niche's like AOE permanent 50% slow. Assuming tuning is done well i would be shocked to not see Affliction played avidly on at least a certain few raid fights , even if it is not the number 1 warlock spec. spread cleave if powerful enough can never be underestimated on certain fights.
Destructions current strengths have been plain to see of late for everyone i believe , and that would be mass AOE on a reasonably short cooldown , other than that i don't really feel the spec currently offers to much outside of a mythic plus scenario. unless you are just doing some meme thing or going for some crazy padding strategies. Of course destro has always been strong in two target cleave , that has never changed. But the single target is middling at best , and it outshone by demo.
And as far Destruction in Dragonflight , again i am pleased to say i am quite excited for the future as the versatility of the spec is looking incredibly strong as not is our single target looking to be potentially the most competitive its ever been thanks to be the return of things like ruin combined with decimation and madness of the azj'aqir , but also our two target is once again looking to firmly cement itself as the true king thanks to the return of old favourites ( for good reason ) flashpoint and rolling havoc , once combined with crashing chaos and grand warlocks design , you truly have a disgusting combination on your hands. I am hopeful for Destruction in Dragonflight for many reasons , single target , AOE , and otherwise , but like affliction and its spread cleave , destruction will always have its two target cleave to fall back on if, which will always make it a useful spec on certain fights.
Of course everybody knows you must have at least one warlock in your raid at all times for summoning stone , health stones , gateways , but most importantly of all you want a warlock to pre-soul stone a healer before every fight so u don't all have to run back and waste 5-10 minutes every wipe. You might say, but what about your CR cooldown ? , soul stone is a sorry excuse of a CR , and the warlock should be the last one to the cast the CR.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
Extremely comfortable , in fact i would say its something i live for and strive to do and get better at , if you are going to play a dps class , i don't really see the point in doing so if u are not going to attempt to master each spec. I do not play a spec , i play a class. When i played in legion and we were grinding artifact levels at the start of the expansion i grinded each of the specs all the way to 54 when that was the hard cap, which was a very hard grind at the time , because i was determined that when the new raid was released , i was to be prepared both in terms of my artifact power in all specs and my own personal growth in each spec and my comfortability with it.
Paste a your UI via IN COMBAT
(Ensure that all Key Bindings are visible)
I have not got a recent one , and my current UI is not great as i have just recently came back to the game , but this is an easy fix , i shall provide you with an example of what my UI has looked like in the past with all my keybinds etc. This is what you could expect to if i was to be in a serious environment. Its a video and not a screenshot , i cannot find a screenshot due to having a new computer , if this is a problem let me know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjQPN-bSqCU

From the last active time i was raiding seriously , i know it has been a while , but i believe it proves that i was at least serious.
Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experiences / guilds. including reasons for leaving them:
My previous raiding guild was OG Feedback a 2 day raiding guild on Khadgar, we formed together essentially in beginnings of Shadowlands and rose through the ranks pretty quickly and in the end of shadowlands i think we ended up at around world ranking 250 , which for a true 2 day raiding guild was pretty damn good after only 1 expansion i feel. My reason for leaving was purely that it came to the end of an expansion cycle and lots of people were leaving the guild and the game at the time , which im sure u know often happens at the end of a expansion , and i was much in the same boat as them. Add on to that i was in the middle on changing jobs and i was not going to be able to raid for the foreseeable future and it was the just best i stopped raiding with them, As of right now i am still in the guild however , and i truly have very fond memories of my days raiding with them, we had many great laughs and goods bants.
As for other guilds in the past , my other serious guild was Bovine Intervention which was my guild throughout the end of Cataclysm and throughout all of Mists of pandaria and the story of that is essentially the same as above , apart from the fact we were a 3 day raiding guild , maybe ranked 600 or so, i was less serious back then. But again fond memories and good bants :).
More Information:
Nothing more for me to say i believe , if you have questions , you have my battletag , if you wish to have some references from previous guildies or even guildmasters i can most likely provide u with that also. All thats left for me to say is that , i hope you take a chance on me even though i havnt raided in a while, i know for some guilds they might view me as a unproven commodity at this point , but i hope you dont see at as such, if so , i would love to have the opportunity to prove you wrong :).
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I would not be applying if i could not.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Your raid schedule , u start a little later than most guilds which is ideal for me , because i cant commit to most guilds earlier starts , which has made it a little difficult for me to find a permanent home.
Do you play much outside of raiding?
When i do play and get serious about the game like i did in Legion MoP , and Cata , i play pretty much every spare second i have , i used to be a huge mythic + spammer back in the day. So yes i am a very active player especially when i have a community and a social circle, which i would hope to find in this guild like i have find in my previous ones.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Have a good day one and all :) I hope i didn't make to make spelling or grammatical errors on this application. I read through it once but alas im sure i missed a few things. Nevertheless , life continues.
